The hard part was that it was all the way in LA, started at 9 and I would have to come back by myself late at night with whoever was gonna come with me. And, as I breastfeed, we didn't know back then if William was going to take the bottle well.
Long story short: I called my friend Rocio to see if she wanted to come to the concert and I was so surprised she was all in! Later in the week I suggested to my husband to get a hotel room in Hollywood and make a birthday (his)/ anniversary trip kind of weekend, with our friend Rocio too, haha. She was a doll and baby sat one night so Brandon and I could go get some romantic time together and she slept at a friend's house in Downtown LA and not the shared hotel room we all paid to leave us alone, that's a friend! Right?
Now on to the concert: it was amazing! The following day I kept daydreaming about it and I wanted to be there once again. Ro and I made our way on to the front of the stage and were like3-4 people away from the band.
Outside the concert.
Before the concert
During. I was so close!
After the concert we met some people from Venezuela and walked to a super quaint bar where we sat outside, around a huge table with a fire pit in the middle. I didn't stay long because I wanted to go back to my hubby and baby, but I had a great time while I was there! I came back to Brandon super excited about that super cute bar and wanting to take him there. I felt bad he didn't meet the people we met because they were super down to earth, just like Brandon likes people to be.
We did go the following night when Rocio baby sat William and Brandon loved the place. It's called Wood and Vine, on Hollywood Blvd and it's supposed to be a Whiskey or small plate bar. Here is a photo gallery of the place.
Saturday morning we went to one of my favorite cafés in Hollywood. When I lived there back in 2007 I used to go to Solar de Cahuenga all the time. I found out that the owner is Argentine and the food is amazing. They are a crepe specialty restaurant but they also have egg dishes and sandwiches, among others. My favorite is the tuna panini with sweet potato fries and pesto mayo, or the salmon sandwich with roasted potatoes that you will see below.
My hubby ordered the "entraña" or skirt steak with chimichurri sauce and garlic fries.
