When I lived in Argentina I used to love going to parties where they served canapés. They're like these little baskets made of a thin but hard crust and they'd put different fillings in like blue cheese cream or tuna salad.

I don't even know where to get those baskets in the US (I could probably figure out how to make them) but in Argentina we're all fans of these appetizers. Some people do them using round cutoffs of bread or biscuits, and I thought, why not use Nabico's Wheat Thins? Aren't they addictive? Try eating only a few, you won't be able. And adding delicious toppings make an even more perfect snack. Pair it with a cold Coca-Cola Zero™ and you're set!

I love to make these canapés all the time now that the weather is warmer and we also buy the Nabisco Snack Products ,12 count single serve, because they're having a great promo at Stater Bros. where you can save $2 in May when you buy any four (4) Coca-Cola .5L/6pk, 6pk glass, mini-cans and Nabisco family size or 12 count single serve products and in June two (2) for $6 mix and match Coke .5L/6pk and Nabisco Toasted Chips with Digital Deals.  Stater Bros has a "Snack Center"  with a lot of Nabisco products that will make summertime snacking a breeze!

I made three different toppings this time and they're super easy. These will be enough to top a whole box of Wheat Thins, so think about saving leftovers in air tight containers to use later.

1- Tuna salad: Mix a can of tuna with 2 tbsp of mayonnaise and a squirt of mustard. Mix and spoon on top of the wheat thins. Top with a piece of roasted pepper.

2- Egg salad: boil 2 eggs and chop once ready. Mixx 1 tbsp of mayonnaise and a squirt of mustard. Adjust mayo if needed, or add sour cream instead. Spoon on top of the crackers and top with half an olive.

3- Cream cheese and blue cheese: spread some cream cheese on top of the cracker, followed by a piece of blue cheese and topped with half a walnut.

Serve with a cold Coca-Cola or drink of choice and some cookie snacks for the kids.

Other options to try:

-Cream cheese, smoked salmon and capers.
-Mayo and ketchup, mixed, spooned on top an topped with a slice of hearts of palm.
-Spread some cream cheese, pour some pesto and top with artichoke hearts or sun-dried tomatoes.

Hope you make them and enjoy them as much as I do! And for more yummy recipes using these products click here!
