In case you didn’t know, I graduated with a BA in Spanish and literature. Books have been a part of my life since I can remember, both my mom and dad were avid readers and they instilled the love of reading to me and my siblings. Me and my sister always loved to read and devoured books over and over, one after the other. So when he came to discovering books subscription boxes I am kind of glad that I didn’t have them when I was a teenager or I would’ve had major FOMO.
Subscription boxes have become popular in the last I don’t know 10 years? Maybe less, but they weren’t around in my teenage or college years, thank goodness, or I would’ve been crying over not being able to get them all. It’s not like I can afford all of them right now, I get most of them free for review which I am super grateful for. So I’ve had a chance to explore a lot of them and I wanted to comprise a list of my top 10 favorites. They won’t be in any particular order, not from my favorite to my least favorite. I’ll just number them as I think of them and I will include one for different tastes like Young adult literature, adult, sci fi, mystery etc.

Unplugged book box was one of the first book subscription boxes I’ve ever heard. I believe it was thanks to Chelsea Palmer, a very charismatic booktuber that introduced me to this box. They started off as only young adult literature box and they branched our to offer adult boxes as well! Literary appreciation is a quarterly subscription box that ships four times a year and includes at least three books +45 Turkish items related to the theme on each box for example the winter box was Sherlock Holmes themed and we received two books by Arthur Conan Doyle in a non-fiction piece related to the author. Pairing those books we received some delicious shortbread biscuits, beautiful teeth Sherlock Holmes inspired candle!
